The Woodland Pond
The main woodland pond is perfect for getting your dog used to retrieving from and across water, a narrow and wider part for building confidence and learning the basics of handling. The small old lily pond is ideal for getting the youngsters used to entering and exiting water correctly. Ample space at the side of the pond to practice steadiness and heelwork around water. Lots of shade for those glorious hot Cumbrian days
The Training Field
approx 10 acres including flat mown grass, lots of rough undulating ground and cover, small jumping circle, adjustable height stock fence jump into woods, gullies and streams , moveable gundog jumps, short and long retrieving areas.
The Field Pond
Approx 3000 sq metre pond, currently has a lot of invasive aquatic reed but we are looking at getting it cleared, good access for long retrieves from two sides.
THE NEW BIT!
Still thinking what what to do with the new area we have uncovered, previously I believe it was a vegetable patch and an old grass tennis court. Very very overgrown and covered in brambles, its surprisingly big and we have still about another third to clear. Sheltered and secure area for young dogs to start their gundog journey, a puppy park, or a social area for members....any ideas folks?
THE BARN
Spacious warm and well lit. From seminars and workshops to indoor training and photography, this large and airy space has a multitude of uses, plus big enough for foundations training on a wet horrible day.
THE TERRACE
Gorgeous views from this old stone terrace, a perfect place to relax with your pack up or catering can be arranged if required. Barbecues or buffets at our social events in this secluded spot overlooking a rural idyll in the Lyth Valley
THE COTTAGES
Nannygoat and Honeypot cottage, are converted from former stables with original beams and ironwork throughout. The cottages are surprisingly spacious inside, with the living areas upstairs and ensuite bedroom's downstairs it creates a fantastic ambience set in the privately owned Broadoak Estate, perfect for getting away from it all, the dog friendly Black Labrador pub is a short walk down the country lane.
